Android install & open

  • Won't install (e.g. "App not installed" or conflict): You may have another LaruCare build (e.g. from a local/dev build). Uninstall that app first (Settings → Apps → LaruCare → Uninstall), then install this APK. The website APK uses the same app ID but a different signature, so Android blocks installing over a differently signed build.
  • Installs but doesn't open when you tap it: This is a known startup issue we're fixing. Try: (1) Settings → Apps → LaruCare → Storage → Clear cache (or Clear data), then open again; (2) Uninstall, download the APK again from this page, reinstall, then open. Always use the latest build from the link above.

Questions we hear a lot

Is LaruCare really 100% offline?

Yes. LaruCare stores all data locally in SQLite. The only network usage is optional: downloading linked YouTube videos or explicit cloud backups you initiate. Core functionality never requires internet.

What if I lose my phone?

Important: We cannot recover your data. Use the built-in Export feature regularly to save encrypted backups to your personal cloud storage or computer. Your data sovereignty means your responsibility.

Can I track multiple people?

Yes. Create unlimited profiles for family members. Each profile has isolated data, separate medication lists, and unique themes. Switch profiles instantly from any screen.

How secure is my biometric data?

We use salted SHA-256 hashing for PINs and native iOS/Android biometric APIs. Your credentials never leave your device. We have no ability to access your data, ever.

LaruCare is the privacy-first, offline family health journal: medications, symptoms, vitals, appointments, baby and pregnancy tracking, and caregiving—all in one place. Your data stays on your device by default. Use what you need: meds, vitals, baby logs, emergency card. Optional sign-in lets you back up across devices; nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to export.

  • 1. Getting started — Lock screen (optional PIN/biometrics), then dashboard to switch people and jump to medications, symptoms, vitals.
  • 2. People — Add or edit who you're tracking; select a person to see their data everywhere.

  • 4. Voice input — Every form has “Fill with voice”: speak or type, then tap Extract to fill fields. Works for meds, symptoms, vitals, appointments, baby logs, pregnancy profile, birth plan, caregiver, roles, temporary access, and more.
  • 5. Analytics — Charts and summaries from your local data, filtered by selected person.
